Abciximab, eptifibatide en tirofiban zijn antagonisten van de glycoproteïne IIb/IIIa-receptoren die een rol spelen bij de bloedplaatjesaggregatie.
Indicaties - Acute situaties zoals coronaire angioplastie, onstabiele angor resistent tegen de conventionele behandeling, non-Q-wave myocardinfarct, telkens in associatie met acetylsalicylzuur en heparine.
Belangrijkste ongewenste effecten - Bloeding.
- Trombocytopenie.
- Zelden overgevoeligheidsreacties.
